SINGAPORE, April 16, 2026 – Galactica has successfully closed Pegasus 2, a tokenized maritime bridge financing built on the Kaia network, issued and distributed through InvestaX, a real-world asset tokenization platform regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
The offering raised USD 1.5 million from accredited investors over a four-week subscription window, marking the second consecutive tokenized ship financing completed under Galactica’s Pegasus programme.
This follows the successful close and repayment of Pegasus 1 earlier this year. Pegasus 1 funded a 145,000 CBM LNG vessel and delivered full repayment of principal plus 10% per annum interest to investors on schedule. Pegasus 2 extends this approach to the next phase of PT Pelayaran Maritim Prima’s fleet programme, with a focus toward the operational expansion of PT Pelayaran Maritim Prima across the Indonesian archipelago.
Addressing Timing Gaps in Ship Financing
In markets such as Indonesia, ship financing often requires vessel owners to commit full upfront capital before bank financing is disbursed. This process can take several months and may ultimately cover only 70-80% of the asset value.
Pegasus 2 was designed to address this timing mismatch. By providing bridge financing against operating vessels with defined repayment pathways, the structure enables shipowners to access capital at a critical stage of the transaction lifecycle, without altering the underlying economics of the asset.
Building a Repeatable Financing Model
With two completed transactions in 2026, the Pegasus programme demonstrates a repeatable model for tokenized maritime financing, from structuring and issuance to distribution and funding.
Pegasus 2 achieved its target raise within the planned four-week window, attracting participation from both individual and corporate accredited investors. The transaction reflects continued investor interest in short-duration, asset-backed opportunities within the maritime sector.
The Pegasus programme is jointly supported by Kaia, an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain and Korindo Group, a major Indonesian-based multinational conglomerate founded in 1969, reflecting a partnership between digital infrastructure and maritime operating expertise.
Pegasus tokens were minted on the Kaia blockchain and both Pegasus transactions were issued and distributed through InvestaX, a real-world asset tokenization platform holding Capital Markets Services (CMS) and Recognised Market Operator (RMO) licences from MAS.
Leadership Perspective
Young Kim, CEO of Galactica, said: “The rapid, fully-funded status of Pegasus 2 confirms that global investors are hungry for transparent, high-quality RWA products. By successfully scaling from Pegasus 1 to Pegasus 2, we have validated that blockchain can solve real-world liquidity bottlenecks for critical infrastructure in Southeast Asia and by hosting this series on the MAS-licensed InvestaX platform, we are providing a secure, fractionalized entry into an asset class that was previously out of reach, proving that the future of maritime finance is both digital and regulated.”
Pilsup Shim, CEO of PT Pelayaran Maritim Prima, stated: “For a specialized operator like PT PMP, efficiency is everything. This closing provides us with the timely financing needed to accelerate our fleet expansion without the 3-month delays typical of traditional banking. It allows us to maintain our operational edge while modernizing how we access capital."
Julian Kwan, CEO of InvestaX added: "Two closes in a single programme on a single platform is significant. The fact that Galactica has been able to launch, distribute, and close two offerings through InvestaX within the same year reflects both the strength of the underlying assets and the efficiency of regulated on-chain infrastructure. This is the type of repeatable, compliant issuance model InvestaX was built to support."
Dr. Sam Seo, Chairman of Kaia DLT Foundation, added: "Our goal with Galactica was to make Web3 technology invisible but indispensable to real-world industries. Seeing Pegasus 2 reach full funding shows that tokenized RWA is no longer a niche experiment. It is becoming a standard tool for regional trade and development."
