About the Issuer

The Manager of the Fund is Templeton Asset Management Ltd, whose registered office is at 7 Temasek Boulevard, #38-03 Suntec Tower One, Singapore 038987.

The Manager was incorporated in Singapore on 28 September 1992. The Manager is the holder of a capital markets services licence for the regulated activities of “fund management” and “dealing in capital markets products (that are securities, collective investment schemes, exchange-traded derivatives contracts and over-the-counter derivatives contracts)” under the SFA and is an exempt financial adviser under the Financial Advisers Act 2001 of Singapore, as amended.

The Manager is an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Franklin Resources, Inc. (“FRI”), a holding company with subsidiaries operating as Franklin Templeton that provide asset management services, including the Manager. FRI was founded in 1947 and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, Inc. under the symbol “BEN”.

4. Investment Objective

The investment objective of FRANKLIN ONCHAIN U.S. DOLLAR SHORT-TERM MONEY MARKET FUND ("the Sub-Fund") is to provide investors with a high level of current income as is consistent with the preservation of capital and liquidity.

5. Investment Focus and Approach

The Sub-Fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing in a portfolio of high quality15 USD-denominated debt and debt-related money market instruments, which consist primarily of short-term fixed and floating-rate debt securities, commercial papers, floating-rate notes and certificates of deposit of eligible financial institutions16. The Sub-Fund may also, to a lesser extent, invest in eligible securitisation and asset-backed commercial paper ("ABCP") as well as ancillary liquid assets, bank deposits denominated in US dollar and other money market instruments.
