The Security Token Industry (STO) was the precursor for Real World Asset Tokens (RWA) space.

The InvestaX team were the first builders in the Real World Asset Tokens (RWA) industry in Asia since 2018, when there was almost zero infrastructure or investable products in the market. Now in 2024, the RWA industry is experiencing explosive growth as industry leaders like Blackrock and Franklin Templeton, along with prominent DeFi players such as Coinbase (one of our investors and partners), have entered the market where public protocols, not private databases, are becoming the dominant underlying technology.

In this episode, we go back in time to explain the history of real world asset tokens tokens, which were previously called security tokens - from the launch of Ethereum back in 2013 to the ICO boom that followed and eventually to the regulated RWA tokenization market that we know today.
